Hangzhou Chinese Restaurant

Thanks Vera for this address and for introducing me to this restaurant!  Stunning place.  Imagine a small lake, (large pond), with small outhouses dotted around it, interwoven with wooden paths.  Waitresses scurry between the outhouses, delivering dishes of food.  The outhouses have about five, six big round tables each, and have large glass windows, giving you a view to the tranquil lake and trees scene.

 

Chinese food, excellently presented.  We had live drunken prawns served in an ice bowl, and actually lots of more normal stuff, all delicious.  Our meal (very skillfully ordered) only cost 40rmb each (!!!) but I'm told that's due to exceptional balance of interesting but inexpensive dishes, so you could probably expect to order a bit more otherwise.
